I am from Belleville,IL (about 15min. from Parks) And fly out of Scott AFB, and am departing for my last solo flight before my private pilot's check.
Anyway, I am saying like many other posters Jeppsen's has a strong hold on the market. I used them in my ground school course, and they can be dry. I am defly afraid of going to my check ride withe the FAA, and them asking me a question I know I was taught but can't recall. I have bought the private pilot's manuel from them and it is great. One of the most exciting and visual aviation books around. I have been reading it every night for the last week, preparing for the ride. So I would definatly invest the $50 again.
I am visiting SLU/Parks in a few weeks and I would love to hear about the campus and such if you could e-mail me or put up another post that would be great.
