For "credentials that authorize access to airport secure areas" you have to be careful here. The Id card must be a credential with a photo issued by an air carrier or airport operator that provides unescorted access to a security identification display area at an airport regulated under 49 CFR part 1542. If not issued under this regulation, you will need to check with TSA/FAA (CASFO office) or carry some other acceptable form of Id.


The rule also permits other forms of photo identification that the Administrator finds acceptable (whatever that is).
