Part 135 is the way to go and the aircraft you are talking about is a part 25 certification basic. Cargo aircraft are a little different when it comes to certifcation such as with floor loading, tie down, and etc. Part 25 has the requirements for this. I havent' work with the cargo guy's for a while and it would take some time to spool back up.

I would suggest contacting your local FSDO and sitting down with them and discuss your options and type of aircraft you want to use. The FSDO guy's will provide you with some guidance material on the cargo stuff. There has been some changes with cargo aircraft and I am just not up to speed to dicusss it, sorry.
