Sorry to say flying for FedEx is not considered “federal” time.
There company does pay their pilots more in most cases. Cargo haulers pilots keep under the radar without the big ego as some commercial airlines pilots have. They have a good pay and benefit package and their future looks pretty solid. They are a little picky who they hire so have your ducks in a row before applying.
If I had to pick between FedEx and a commerial airline the cargo guys would have it hands down. Just one man's opinion.
