BassDudeE90 is on a distinguished road
Greetings from Puerto Rico

Hello,

I am a brand spanking new student pilot with a whopping .6 hours of flight time in a Cessna 172. I started my ground school about three weeks ago and had my first flight last week. I am a bit on the "older" side as I am going to be 42 in a couple of months; but this is something I have always wanted to do. Now that I have the "motive, means, and opportunity" I decided to delve in head first. So far this is all I thought it would be . . . and then some! That first flight was a blast. I know I’m preaching to the choir here since you all have more experience than little ol’ me.

I do not plan to make this a career. I am ready to retire from the US Armed Forces within the next two years . . . after 25 years in service. So, I thought I’d pick up a new hobby to keep be busy during my “retirement twilight” years.

Cheers!!!
