old pilot, new member
Getting back into flying after long absence. PPL in 1974. Never really followed through, but now I"m about to get legal again: bienniel flight review along w/ 3rd class medical. I'd like to own a Bearhawk, but meanwhile renting the ubiquitous C-172 ($100/hr 'wet' out of Noble Flight in LFT). Old adage, "if it floats, flies or f**ks, RENT IT!" I have not followed most of that, but I have had a few boatloads of fun, if not planeloads. 8-)
I am living on the bayou in south Louisiana not too far from KOPL with a yellow tailed dog (black mouth cur), yt wife and a case or 2 of yt wine. Living in a metal building, 50'x125'x22'tall w/ 2 story house in one end & 85 longitudinal feet of open shop floor on the other. Blank canvas on which to paint a homebuilt dream... Maybe some day.
