Cessna 182RG - Turn Off Porch Lights??
Greetings to All
Anybody out there know how to turn off the under-wing porch lights on a 1978 Cessna 182RG? I bought one about a month ago, and fly it almost every day - really enjoy it. I don't fly much at night, not yet... so don't need the porch lights, but, neither I nor a CFII can figure out how to turn them off. When the master comes on, they come on... It isn't that big of a deal, but why burn two light bulbs when you don't have to. Thanks for any help. Todd |

Great! Thank you! I will look in my 1978 Cessna 182RG. I remember seeing a black vertical up/down switch on the back left arrow shaped window for use by the back left passenger.
I will look for any other interior "dome" switches not on the instrument panel itself. |

That did it... The switch for the porch lights under the wings is, strangely enough, on the front edge of the small arrow shaped window for the passenger sitting directly behind the pilot. Why it would not be placed on the instrument panel for the pilot to access is strange, but true.
