Hi,
I am the owner of a 1978 Cessna 182RG, for four months now. What should I be paying for the base price of an annual inspection? I understand that it takes about 20 hours of labor, and that if problems are found, the cost will obviously be higher. And, that a retractable gear will probably add in a little bit more because they have to jack the airplane and check the gear and gear swing. Thank you, Todd |

I have an annual checklist on my personal web site at Welcome to StacheAir
You can check a lot of the items yourself and this will give you an idea of how much time is really needed. You may save some money if you fix some of the items yourself before the annual. I just completed an accident investigation on this model due to pilot error. He hit the gear lever instead of the flap handle on landing and the nose gear collapsed. |

Thank you Denny. I will check it out. Hitting the gear vs. flaps seems hard to do in a 182RG. Unlike other airplanes, the switches are totally different - the gear has a little wheel that must be pulled out before it can be moved up, and its in front of the pilot away from the flap lever which is flat.
