South Carolina to Bahamas?

Has anyone flown straight from the North or South Carolina to the Bahamas in a twin cessna? We have 310 and are soon to upgrading to a 340 and are interested in flying direct to the Bahamas from the Myrtle Beach area. In the past we have flown the 310 along the coast and crossed over from Floridia. It appears to be well within range for the 310 to fly direct? I was just curious if any of you have ever tried it. I think it is only about 400-450 NM. Also, what about all of the MOA's along the way? Will I get clearance on an IFR flight plan below FL180?
