Flying on C-182s with Jet Fuel!!

Hey fellow pilots,

I've been finding Avgas is getting harder and harder to find and more expensive. I'm sure you'll all agree. Jet fuel on the other hand is available anywhere in the world thanks to a bigger market.
I know of this very good company that changes your C-182 engine for a certified 230HP Jet A engine delivering as much torq as a 260 gasoline engine. They're unique in the US.

You can fly 40 to 50% more on the same amount of fuel without lowering power!
And this is with 50% less maintenance cost...

I can give you more info on it! I really think this is revolutionary for all aircraft owners! The savings are huge and it's very easy to fly.

Maybe you need a reality check:

* avgas is everywhere in the US
* avgas is cheaper than jet fuel in the US
* jet fuel GA engines are so complicated with their FADEC etc.. that they are LESS safe than avgas engines.

So maybe for Europe, but NOT for USA.

Agree! Also, consider the cost of the modification - maybe $30,000+ (probably much +) At $5.00 a gallon, you could buy 6000 gallons of 100LL. At 10 gal/hr, that's 600 hours just to break even on the initial cost. Of course, if you flew the 600 hours on JetA, at say, $5.25/gal, and a 30% saving (I think the 50% is really high), that would cost you $22000, so you'd only save $8000.
Considering the FADEC system, as sternone says, I'd just keep the engine I have. Just IMHO

Not to forget prices dropped below 100$ an oil barrel and avgas prices in USA are dropping more than a dollar now...
