Talking Just had a life changing experience

Well last sunday was the start of a hopefully new career. I got to fly a 1940's fighter plane and i could just tell that that is what i want to do with my life. I dont have my license it was just a trainers plane and i flew it for about 10 minutes. It was amazing. My dad said that he would pay for me too get my license and i have just been trying to look around for diferent types of planes, but im lost. If you could just suggest some planes that are safe or have the least amount of crashes, and it also will end up being a 2 seater if anything. So if anyone has got some ideas for me that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Mark

Most civilians learn to fly in a Cessna 150 or 152. Not quite a T-6, but it's still an airplane!

Yeah i figured that it wasnt a beginners plane but my dad knows alot of people and his friend wanted to give me a ride in it ,and i was able to fly it around 5500ft just for a while, just too see what its like. Its hard to describe that feeling of just being "free" from everything else.

If you get to the stage to buy a warbird I suggest a Nanchang CJ-6. They have tri gear and air operated systems, starter, flaps, gear, brakes. It is a lower cost warbird that is very easy to fly and very light on the controls.Have fun.
