Do you own an airplane? - Please help.

I'm new to this, and am considering purchasing a Cessna 182 or something similar.
What can I expect to pay for one (used 60's model?) if I get a good deal on one?
Also...What would you estimate the operating costs of an aircraft such as this? How much fuel does an aircraft such as this 230hp model burn per hour? How much does the fuel cost per gallon? Thanks for the input.

Take a look at the Aircraft Shopper Online website. www.aso.com it will have a bunch of 1960's C-182's with pictures, specs & prices for you to look at.

I fly a 235hp Piper Dakota (Lycoming) The 182 has a 230hp (Continental) fuel burn will probably be around 11-13gph and fuel averages about $2 per gallon.

I would guess it will cost you about $75 per hour to operate.
