100 hr inspections

Ok here is a question for you all.

A brand new airplane is put on line for Flight instruction. It goes on line at 25hr total time. it is new so it hasn't had an annual yet. the ;log books say it got and airworthiness certificate a 1.2hrs. When is the 100hr due....at 125 hours, or at 101.2 hrs....???

Look at FAR 91.409(b):

(b) Except as provided in paragraph (c) of this section, no person may operate an aircraft carrying any person (other than a crewmember) for hire, and no person may give flight instruction for hire in an aircraft which that person provides, unless within the preceding 100 hours of time in service the aircraft has received an annual or 100-hour inspection and been approved for return to service in accordance with part 43 of this chapter or has received an inspection for the issuance of an airworthiness certificate in accordance with part 21 of this chapter.

So when you get to the 101.3 hour mark, you will be asking the question answered above. In the last 100 hours has it had a 100 hour inspection? Or an annual? Or an inspection for the issuance of an airworthiness certificate? The answer will be no (assuming that an annual or 100 hour inspection was not done prior).
