www.flighttracker.com/
Pilots,
I just tried the website www.flighttracker.com/ for a 14 day free subscription. It's got direct access to the FAA's flight management system. You can enter in an N number or airport, and it will show you, in real time, where the aircraft is in the IFR system, its altitude, and its airspeed. I don't know if wxwatcher has a free site to access this information. But it's fun. I punched in Centennial airport (APA), and it showed me the point of origin of flights within two hours, where they were, the information above, and the type of aircraft. They must take it right off of the FAA flight management system. This means they can't track VFR flights. But if you are expecting someone, general aviation or commercial, and want to know where they are at the moment, you can see it in a simple table format. It's owned by www.trip.com/ who wants your travel business. ------------------ DJSchaut
