Anyone out there want to go in on a cessna 310 for 20k? I need to build multi time and If anyone is in the same situation we can work together and maybe find some others too.

We're gonna need a lot more information to make this interesting. A Cessna 310 for $20,000 is not gonna be in good condition. Give more details about the aircraft and more details about yourself, please.

I am a CFII in camarillo ca. I have commercial asel and amel, 900 hours tt. The 310 has good avionics, great interior also. The left engine has 1500 hrs, right engine has 1200 hrs. Its a 1956 Cessna 310. Not sure what model that would be. 1500 TBO and needs an annual. Thats all I know folks.

I used to be a mechanic at a local FBO here, and I'd probably be in fully-clenched mode when approaching a 20k C310. I've seen annual inspections run amazingly close to (or sometimes more than) the value of the plane itself.

My advice would be to go ahead and get a good mechanic (don't let the seller pick him) to give it a good going-over before making any offers.
The pre-buy inspection can also be the annual, and you can do any needed work after the inspection anyway, if you choose to make the deal.

There's no such thing as a cheap 310 if you intend to fly it. The cost of the airplane should be your last consideration. Condition, history, etc can save you much more than initial purchase price. If hours are what you want, pick up a used Comanche twin. At least the fuel cost is going to be less. If you do, though, fly your approach at 80 and don't cut the power, then you can get a smoothe landing 30% of the time.
