Dan,

Your absolute best source of info on restorations, etc, is the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) headquartered in Oshkosh, WI. They host the biggest annual antique and experimental aircraft fly-in in the world and have local chapters in almost every mid-sized city/airport.

Here is the URL for their home page.
http://www.eaa.org/

They have a searchable data base of local chapters by state as well as links to the home pages of local chapters that have one.

Good Luck,

Jerry
