fuel burn/hour

I was wondering if anybody knew the formula for calculating fuel burn/hr. If someone could tell me the formula or a site that might have just some plug in boxes for outside air temp, altitude and power settings for a specific plane and engine size I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance to all!

Henry

Were you interested in a particular engine or airplane? Usually we just use the pilot operating handbook, or the engine maufactures data. All the other parameters are included in the graphs. Basically take the gallons per hour and multiply by 6 to get pounds per hour if you need to convert.

There's a formula on your E6-B calculator (if you have one) that you can use. I'm not sure exactly how to do it, it should say in the manual. I think you have to line your rate (60) with fuel burned and then line the time up with your fuel burn. I THINK but I could be wrong.
