Different forms of Private Flying

HI All,

How are you guys? I am interested in obtaining a PPL, and would like to know what other forms of flying there are within the PPL (I.e Aerobatics ratings, etc,etc). If anyone can help please reply.

There are a lot of possibilities with a PPL. I would have to say that the majority of people use it for personal business or just pleasure. You did mention aerobatics, you don't specifically need a license to do that, but there are certain regulations that must be followed. You also have to have an aircraft that is certified for aerobatics, and professional training, in my opinion is a must.

I think that the aspect you will find the most enjoyable in flying is that there is always another goal to shoot for. You can get your private, and then there are always more certificates or ratings to go for.

My best advice is to find a local instructor, sit down and chat with him or her. They will be able to give you the best advice based on what you want to do with aviation.
