Aero 100

Great little plane but exercise care as parts are hard to come by. When tied down be sure to put gust locks on flaps as they will move around in a high wind. Even locked down at 30 degrees they will go down some then smack upwards and can do some damage. This comes from personal experience. S. Collins

question about a lark commnander

I have a friend who has a 1969 LARK that has been sitting now for a number of years. Still low time motor and good compression but needs work to be airworthy. Anyone interested in a project or could anyone place a ballpark value on its worth? Will get the n number and other things if needed. Thanks
Danny

solo

I am 16 years old, and learned to fly and soloed a 1971 Lark. I now have over 60 hrs. in it and so far have no complaints. I can even use the flap bar to build muscles haha!

100 Darter

When I was 17 my cousin told me I could fly his dart all I want, I just had to put gas in it. At the time we had an auto gas STC and gas was $1.00 a gallon. I flew that Dart all over the place every chance I had. Now after having graduated with a BS in Aeronautical Science and flown for the airlines for a few years, I am trying to find a Dart/Lark of my own. I have over 1,000 hours in a 172 and never liked it as much as the dart. In my opinion the dart has better visibility, is quieter built stronger and sexier (Mooney Tail). If anybody knows of any for sale please let me know.

insurance? HELP

Hello. Have located a darter and my insurance person tried to get a quote through AIG. They passed on it. Hmm. Who's insuring this model?

Has a website be created for this model yet?
Thx

hi,

I believe the owners manual says to put the flaps to 30 deg (full) when parked. If you don't, wind gusts can move the flaps around wearing out the springs.
There is a strobe on the belly between the gear legs on mine. Not positive but I think it was factory installed. Switch is next to fuel pump. I will check the equipment list when I get it back from maintenence for type.
