I am an owner of a company that manufacturers big bore nickel-silicon-carbide plated cylinders for Harley-Davidsons as well as providing cylinder reconditioning for all plated bore engines. We plate the cylinders for Roush Aviation's P51 Mustang engine rebuild program which is pretty cool also.

I'm an avionics engineer (day job), and photographer, crew chief, baggage handler and gopher for these girls on weekends.

We just started the 2008 air show season in Jasper, Texas. One of the best airshows around, small, but very well produced.

I am a programmer analyst/pilot, I have a degree in aeronautical science and flew for the airlines for a few years. With the increase in commuter flying and decrease in mainline flying, coupled with the decreasing salaries in the commuters (whipsaw), I decided to get back into computers. I had worked in IT in college and taught myself how to program. After the collapse of Independence Air I worked for a few months for Delta (ASA) and decided to get a "real" job. I realized that $19,500 a year wasn't going to cut it. If I stayed at ASA for 3 years I could finally make it to $50k as a captain. That is if we wouldn't be closed down because other carriers could do it cheaper (Chitaqua, Mesa, etc)... I settled at a company local to where I grew up, that has plants around the country. The owners/VP's are all pilots and the company was founded by a pilot. I am mostly a programmer but I also keep current in our Citation 3, and fly trips to help out the two full time guys. The owners own several other airplanes that I occasionally get an opportunity to fly or train them in.
