Post Piggyback Posibilities

Probably a crazy question but, how could one best go about finding some alt. air transportation to the commercial lines (which all have heat embargos this time of year anyway) for a couple of Airdale Terrier pups that need very much and very soon, to get from the Portland,OR area to anywhere within a couple hours drive of Mena, Ark. ANY and ALL ideas are most welcome as long as they are not rude ones from someone who is angered by my post.
Thanks ! ! !

There is alternate transportation available, I would suggest you contact your local airport and get a list of all the part 135 operators. Part 135 operators fly on demand anywhere you want to go and will carry most anything. Here in the San Francisco Bay Area many people transport there dogs using part 135.

In Portland you can contact the airport there is several part 135 operators or telephone the Hillsboro FSDO at a1-800-847-3806 and ask to speak the supervisor Hank. Tell him Denny of Oakland sent you. Hank can give you the telephone number of several 135 operators in your area.

If you work it right sometimes they will fly your dogs free or at a reduced rate. Using part 135 is a new market for these folks as they are trying to new sources of revenue.
