turbo twin Cessnas

Is anyone familiar with the reported problem with turbo twin Cessnas (310, 414) regarding cracks/leaks in the exhaust system causing fires or other catastophic in-flight failures?

The Cessna Pilot Association has written about this frequently over the past year. They are at reachable www.cessna.org. I'm not a twin owner, so I didn't follow it that carefully, but it seemed to me that almost all of the Cessna recip twins have potentially serious problems with poorly inspected and maintained exhaust systems. The meat of what CPA has said is that the inspections must be rigorous and frequent and that any welding repairs must be performed to high standards. Apparently there are a lot of 3xx and 4xx twins out there with exhaust cracks which are not easy to see.
