Fellow Aviator Pet Peeves?

Hey Guys,
I've been flying for a few years now and started thinking about my aviation "personal pet peeves" that I've developed over the years.
I got to thinking, I wander if there are things that I do that annoy and bug my fellow aviators? Strange entry procedures, radio "buzz words", "low" (but legal!) flying?! I was wandering if anyone else had come across or felt strongly about things that pilot’s do that really bug them?

What are your thoughts?

Aviation tends to attract high-quality people.

The Law of Averages says that now and then we will share the skies with a real clown, but as a general rule, people with the drive, means, and ambition to get a pilot's license are pretty high caliber folks.

Not too often am I disgusted by a fellow pilot.

There are times, of course, like somebody who drones on slowly while transmitting on a very busy frequency, or the guy who decides to taxi all the way to the end of the active runway while I'm on final, making me go around, but stuff like this is rare compared to what we see from fellow drivers on the way to the airport.

I agree but I have a list of pet peeves.

#1 Wide patterns: Not only is it an inconvenience (following), it's also a safety issue because people are expecting you to be in a certain area. When your out of that area, they can't spot you very easily because your not where they're expecting you to be. A guy called base while I was on downwind, didn't see him so I didn't turn base, he ended up flying over me on my extended downwind. Why? because I was looking at where the base leg would be, not at the next town over. (I should have looked outside of the expected zone, I know better for next time)

#2 The dude that gives his life story over the radio to a busy controller or the guy that gives his life story over the radio period: nuf said.

#3 Flying a single engine trainer like a jet: Fly the plane your flying now, not the plane you will be flying when you make it to the airline. e.g. 747 patterns in a C-172. Using good cockpit mgt etc like the airlines do is great, but that shouldn't keep you from flying the plane your in like it was meant to be flown.

#4 Crop duster's with no radio's that cut you off: I know they're trying to make money by being in the air as little as possible. That's great, and I know they usually have weight issues with the plane so a radio isn't usually big on the priority list. But seriously, couldn't they just loose a couple pounds themselves and then get a handheld or something, so they'r not cutting people off? (I say crop dusters but really its anybody that doesn't have a radio that cuts you off).

#5 Edit "Any traffic in the area please advise": unless your in a practice area. When you say please advise around an airport you are basically telling everyone that they're stupid and to stop being hicks until you land. Rather than asking people to advise, just make your call(s), if someone is a potential problem, they'll let you know, (if they're paying attention) (If they're not paying attention, asking them to "advise" wouldn't help.)

Those are my big ones. All in all though, I agree with the above post that most people in aviation are cool and don't create problems.

New to all this-- but guys who cut into the pattern from downwind, the LONG final guy when you're already in the pattern, and the guy who takes off against the pattern (yes I fly out of a class G airfield)
