Cool Air Camping

I was wondering if anyone goes aircamping anymore. I'm interested but haven't ever done it. I am worried I would get to now quite a few peace officer's there-by defeating the purpose of the trip.

I don't know where you are located, but there are many places to aircamp, especially in states where there is B.L.M. or national forest property. There was an excellent artical a few years ago(March or April 2001 I think) in the FAA News about Idaho backcountry. In some places the Forest Service maintains some of the airstrips. My suggestion would be to contact the Forest Service in the state you are interested in for available campsites. Other than that you are stuck finding property owners who will let you pitch a tent on thier property. I know a few places in TX if you are interested.

Happy Camping!
