Will work for FREE!!!
Probably a lot of pilots saying that right now! Anyway I am a junior in college with my CFI. I am trying to set up an internship with either an aerial fire fighting operation, or a bush operation. I was hopeing some one here could point me in the right direction as far as where to find one. Perhaps someone could provide me with contact info to somewhere I could offer my services. I guess I am looking for anything flying related, except for the airlines. Thanks for your help.

Have you logged on to aeps.com? It's an aviation-related clearinghouse for pilots and they have all kinds of flying jobs listed. You have to pay to get job information, once you identify a job you may be interested in. You can log on and they will e-mail you every job that comes up, if you want.

Thanks for the info! I wanted to clarify my posting as I have taken alot of flack for a similar posting on another board. I am not trying to offer my services as a pilot for free. I am attempting to find some kind of internship, paid or unpaid (preferbly paid)that would give me some experience in either bush operations or aerial tankering. I would like to fly in alaska if anyone has contacts there?? Again thanks for the help.

I live and fly in Alaska, and the common theme for 135 operators, lodges, and guides, is pilots have to have a lot of hours in Alaska to be insurable. Catch 22. You can't get hours if you can't fly, you can't fly without hours in type, in Alaska. Ask an Alaskan 135 operator what insurance costs, and you may change your interest to selling insurance.
