Piper Comanche
I currently own a pa28-140 and am thinking of stepping up to a pa24-250, a piper comanche 250. My reasons are basically speed and useful load. I'm early in my pre-buy evaluation and just wondering if there is anybody out there that want's to share specifics about experiences with a comanche 250.

Gary,
The comanche will give you the best bang for the buck. I owned a 260 for about 3 years and loved it. On the 250 make sure the propeller AD is complied with.(It can cost 8 or 9 thousand if it doesn't pass the inspection)Better yet, buy one with the 3 blade prop installed, as it eliminates th AD. The other option is buy a 260. Get a good prebuy inspection from your mechanic (not the owners). and join the International Comanche Society. You will love the PA-24 thier great. Rich |
