Happy New Year - Any Stories?

Well the year 2000 and come and so far nothing extreme has happened. Just curious to find out if anyone had any strange Y2K problems. Things are pretty peaceful here in Minnesota.

Real quite in Wisconsin Too. Today was a nice flying day. My wife and I rented a Super Cub and flew along the beach on Lake Michigan. Flying at 200 agl and 60 kts we really enjoyed the view. Occasionally there were people walking along the beach (maybe ten in 20 miles). We would rock our wings and they would wave. Lots of beautifully lakeshore. A great way to start the new year.

In case anyone is wondering about what happens if the engine quits, the beach is wide, smooth, empty, and always within easy gliding distance. So it makes for a very pleasant flight.

The things were quite calm also here, in Spain.

Today, in a sunny and magnificent day, I was flying without problems on the surroundings from Madrid.
