Transeivers NAV/COM

I just thought I would ask if any one had any certain preferences to there uses of transeivers .

The reason I am asking this , is because I plan to buy a new one very soon.
And just wanted some input from anyone on this matter.

I was thinking of buying a ICOM or VERTEX .
