E-LSA Exemptions
Two Exemptions have been issued by FAA Headquarters for 14 CFR 21.191(i)(1), to allow certification of Experimental Light-Sport Aircraft after the current deadline of January 31, 2008. The effective date of registration must still be on or before January 31, 2008.
In both exemptions granted, the exemption holder determines who is eligible to use their exemption authority. We have provided information below to allow you to read the actual exemption documents and to contact the exemption holders regarding eligibility. Exemption No. 6080H, Regulatory Docket No. FAA-2000-8425. Grant of an exemption to the Aero Sports Connection, Inc., from 14 CFR § 21.191(i)(1) to the extent necessary to allow ASC members to obtain an airworthiness certificate for their light-sport aircraft under the provisions of that paragraph after January 31, 2008, subject to certain conditions and limitations.
