Hi! I'm an old man with a a refreshed desire to fly!

My name is Larry D and I want to introduce myself. I am about to retire(July) and my wife and I have a new desire to return to flying. I am a private pilot who hasn't flown since 1986-1989(Just couldn't afford it as we still had kids at home) I will be getting my physical in a few weeks. I'm in good health and shouldn't have any problems. I have been researching as much current info as I can find. Does this sound like I'm crazy?

Truth is we finally will have time and a little extra to spend on flying. Both of us enjoy it very much. I was checked out in C-150, C172 and Cherokee 140. After getting checked out again, we would like to purchase a C172 or similar plane.
