Hi there my name is John and I'm a 42 former Jarhead who has his Commercial Charter Captain Lisc. 100 ton and I have decided that I am going to Alaska to pure sue my dream of being a Pilot in Alaska , and bounce from being a Charter Captain, to flying Charters for some of the hunt camps and the fishing camps in Alaska. So far I have figured that I will probably attend a school in Anchorage, AK. I will probably attend TFA flight school. I would like to take there 141 rated course to get my private rating. Then get my larger multi-engine rating, then my water rating. I will take a break between rating's to work in the fishing fleet's they have. I hope to be able to fly charters within 2 1/2 years from now. I will be spending alot of money to do so, but I can't take it with me...lol
That is the general plan. Work the fishing industry during season, and then off to flight school when the I'm not fishing. Then network myself while up there, and God willing find a job flying Cessna 207 or Beechcraft Duchess, if I'm lucky? Really anything that gives me Alaska hours...
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for reading, and don't stall.
