i need help

Hello my name is joe as you guesed, anyhow I have a few questions about becoming a pilot. Firstly, I am very good in microsoft flight simulator 2002 and have read all the ground school training and such and completed all the lessons like takeoffs, landings, banking ect. Should i study the faa ground school training on there website, and if i did is there anyway i could speed up groundschool or just take the writen test or how would that work as you can see im new to flying so i just need some advice on it

I have been around aircraft a long time and ground school was to short from my experience. My ground school was 6-weeks, but there was lot more information I wish they would of covered. If I may suggest you contact your local Flight Stand District Office (FSDO) and sign up for there FREE pilot safety classes. You will learn allot of addition stuff they don't teach in ground school. It is also a good place to meet instructors and others that are willing to help and answer questions without the attitude of some CFI's. (just one man’s opinion).

It is also a good place to find a flying buddy. This is the great thing about aviation having someone to share it with.

I agree with Denny of Oakland on that. I am new to flying aswell. All i have is 4.4 hrs logged and I took ground school at my college. Vaugh College of Aernautics and Technology in Queens NY. And Denny is probably right about ground school being to short because I feel that mine was aswell. But yea its awesome when you have a flying buddy. Right now im doing all my flying with my cousin and its awesome when we share the same experience, you have someone to talk about it that knows what you are talkin about..hahaha..

all i have to say is that the more you studey the better you will be as a pilot, gut on the ground school stuff i cant help you there ive recently started to fly.

I've been using www.faagroundschool.com ahd there lessons are really good. It doesn't look complete yet, but I see new lessons come on line every couple of weeks. There is no charge so you can't beat the price.

Hello Joe , Flying is a serious on taking, Youll still need professional ground training.The theory and practical should be studied together! In fact ground school is more important in my opinion and experience ! This is where alot of problems arouse which cause accidents. I dont know if you have your driver licence- have you ever seen a driver who just started drive on the road, they have no controll and make bad decisions.You must be properly trained , when something goes wrong in Microsoft flight simulator 2002, you get to walk away, or press the restart button. I an aircraft you dont get that option!
When i was doing my training i came across alot guys, who even had ground school and didnt learn anything. and it show in there performance, on test day!

Dont listen be anyone who tells you it can be excluded or rush, Theres alot of things that not in the books. Also by law if you are going for your licence there certain require hours that has to be logged. Even if you get to checkride day and the Faa examiner feels that your not , good enought practical ot theory , youll fail! Trust me they know!
