The ugly side

ok, ill admit it the other day i was on a lesson some manuvers like turning on a point and the like and after many lessons i ended up getting air sick....what a bummer , please tell me im not the only one

You're not the only one. Even when I was instructing and flying frequently, certain maneuvers would still make me a little queasy. It's nothing to worry about. You'll develop a tolerance for it.

If you got sick when YOU were handling the plane then you will probably get over it.

If you got sick when the instructor was flying the plane and showing you manuevers then that is fairly common. Take 1 dramamene tablet 15-20 minutes before flying (should be ok but ask your doc)

thanks to all that replied... i know that this thread would get some response but after a bunch more time in the air and soloing (woo hoo) i have yet to have this problem again (thank god), musta been the gale force winds i was fighting huh?? anyway thanks for all your input and clear skys to all

OOh yuck...

I've been there and done that....Just don't do what I did and take an antacid...I threw up bubbles for like 5 minutes...

You're not alone

When I was a student pilot in the USAF, I saw lots of guys rinse out their oxygen masks with a garden hose after a flight. They graduated. I never had problems in VFR, but I've felt a little queasy a couple of times in IFR.

I spent every hour of my private getting sick. Got sick on my private checkride (I think my instrument too).

I went on to have a sucessuful avaition career. Don't worry it will pass.

BTW, I still get that sick feeling in my stomach when I'm in the back of an airplane.
