    Financial Road Block ...

    Greetings all,

My plan was to finance my private, and then finance the rest of my training when I would finish my private. Well i'm 9 hours and a sucessful checkride away from holding a PPL.

Here's the problem, i'm out of finance money. I thought, well i'll pull out a private loan for the rest, with my mother as a co-signer. My mom has really good credit but the problem is that our little private loan was declined due to her having so much other "debt" (2 morgages).

It's been about 8 months since I started training and i'm ready to be done. I could work my butt off for a month or two to save enough to complete the training, but what concerns me the most is finding a mean to finance for future training. Not to mention my degree.

Can anyone relate to this? I feel i'm alone in this matter , though i'm sure most have been through it.

    Thanks in advance.

    Geez, what's the rush?

Work full time and pay your way through training part time. If you're doing something you really want to do then that shouldn't be any hinderance.

Unless you've planned your life out to 65 and calculated that it's going to take borrowing money now to get there, (I highly doubt it) it's really not worth it. Most of my friends worked their way through college and the ones that got all expenses paid for by creditors or parents generally partied all through it because they didn't appreciate the experience.

The ones that were most miserable were the ones that didn't appreciate it AND had all that debt at the end. Go figure.
