Looking for a flight school in South Bay Area
Hello everyone. I am new to this forum.
Flying a plane is always a dream in my childhood. So I wanna get my private pilot licence when I am still young. or maybe commercial licence in the future. I have done some research online and found a few of flight schools in San Jose Area, California. I wanna see if any bay area fellows can give me some recommendation on instructors, school and planes I can choose from. Any info will be really appreciated. SWAT |

From an air-traffic standpoint- if you train out of RHV, you'll experience fewer problems with traffic and poor weather than the other airports such as San Carlos, Palo Alto, or San Jose. Just be sure you have GPS in whatever plane you learn to fly- the Cirrus SR22s are equipped nicely and have a parachute in case of emergency. Flying is really tricky around here- remember to not take chances with the weather- several General Aviation pilots have wrecked into the mountain ridge next to I680 because of poor weather

There are several Bay Area flight school to choose from, however the most important task is finding the right flight instructor.
I know many in the Bay Area located at the Hayward Airport and Oakland Airport. I would recommend either airport as they both have very good flight schools. I would suggest you contact Oakland Flyers at: Flight Training San Francisco Bay Area, Oakland Flyers LLC, Flight School Ground School and Flight Lessons at the Oakland International Airport, CA And ask for Jim Gray or California Airways ask for Keith either one will spend the time you need to decide which school is best and which flight instructor to put your trust in. If you need further assistance you can contact through my web site at; Welcome to StacheAir |

There wouldn't be another better option than Oakland but if you still want to consider others I would recommend you to get your flying lessons from San Jose or Hayward. Instruction costs $80 per hour payable by check or cash after the lesson. They are too good.
I would also suggest a very good e-book at Private Pilots Secrets for your reference. It helped me a lot in getting my Pilot License. |
