Time building questions
So i saved some money and want to build some single time toward my instrument and also some for the experience. I wan't to fly at least 100hrs
I prefer something new like Piper Arrow or Cessna 172, 1995+ model i'm planing to fly that 100 hrs around 2 months and i want to keep the airplane on my home airport during that time. Which place should i go. Should i lease wet or dry. What do you recommend. Thanks |

Whatever airplane you use, make your 100 hours useful. Go on cross-country trips, using VFR Flight Following. That will get you very familiar with ATC communications, something that will help greatly when flying on an IFR flight plan.

Agreed. Try going on some long cross countries. Practice going into different class D and C airports (class C is a little bit more difficult that Class D. Just because there are a couple more steps to the communication process compared with D.) There is a long cross country requirement for your commercial that has to be done solo. I would recommend getting that knocked out if you could You can find the requirements in Part 61.
You may also want to find a pilot to sit in the other seat on some of the cross countries (not for the commercial cross country) so that you can practice being under the hood. (you don't need an instructor for this just a pilot qualified to fly the airplane.)
