flight training in Newyork ,Please advice

Hi,
I'm 32 , male . I'm thinking of taking up flying for a living( as a career).
I know it takes money and effort and dedication. Though it is expensive ( i hope to raise loans) i want to do it. But , BUT is it a good thought at this age to make this a career....??? a Big Question that has been bugging me.
Is this a good choice to make comfortable money. ( i know comfort levels would be different), can i make a decent living with this.
