Maule MXT-7-180A for training

I would like to have some comments about how good is a Maule MXT-7-180A (Trycicle gear)as a trainer and how safe it is in its stall and spin characteristics.

Thanks.

A trainer or first airplane is very often one that is sold or traded very quickly because new owners often underestimate time and money requirements and overestimate utility. While it may be an OK airplane, I don't think it would be as easy as more popular airplanes to sell. Most Maule owners buy them hoping for 180 Cessna like performance at 172 prices. I think a tricycle gear maule would not be a good investment, unless you bought it very cheap and fly it enough to get some value to compensate for any loss you might take. Have not been around one, I just know that the more popular and more expensive airplanes appreciate more in value and are usually cheaper to own in the long run.
